Books, Tordotcom Publishing, Tor Teen / Starscape, and Nightfire. I have highlighted below a few of our standouts for the upcoming season.
Tor Books welcomes #1 New York Times bestselling author James Rollins to our list with THE STARLESS CROWN, the first in an epic new fantasy series that only he could create. Did I mention there are swamp bats?? In other otherworld creatures fare, check out THE KAIJU PRESERVATION SOCIETY, a new standalone summer blockbuster adventure from John Scazli, perfect for fans of Godzilla and Jurassic Park.
Tordotcom Publishing has GOLIATH, a sweeping science fiction epic in the vein of Samuel R. Delany and Station Eleven from award winning author Tochi Onyebuchi. If fantasy is more your speed, check out SPEAR, a spellbinding and subversive queer recasting of Arthurian myth by Nicola Griffith, the legendary author of Hild.
For the thriller fan, Forge has T. Jefferson Parker’s A THOUSAND STEPS, a coming of age mystery set in 1968 Laguna Beach, and Candice Fox’s THE CHASE about a massive prison break in the Nevada desert that reads like a modern day The Fugitive.
Nightfire continues to terrify with ECHO, the new novel from international sensation Thomas Olde Heuvelt, and SUNDIAL, Catriona Ward’s new, twisty psychological horror novel perfect for fans of The Push and Girl A.
And Starscape launches a new middle grade fantasy series with Erika Lewis’s KELCIE MURPHY AND THE ACADEMY FOR UNBREAKABLE ARTS, perfect for readers who’ve ever wondered: What if Harry Potter was sorted into Slytherin?
Last but not least, dog lovers rejoice! #1 New York Times bestselling author Bruce Cameron’s A DOG’S COURAGE is coming out in paperback.
